Amber Wallin (she/her) has spent over a decade in the non-profit policy sector doing and leading policy, research, legislative, campaigns, communications, and outreach work on tax and budget, economic justice, early childhood, health, and education policy issues. Amber came to the State Revenue Alliance from New Mexico Voices for Children, where she was the executive director and where she helped lead important coalition wins through tax justice reform, a campaign for constitutional guarantees for early childhood services, and a transformational court case to increase K-12 education funding in the state. Amber is a state and nationally recognized expert on issues related to family well-being and fiscal policy who has been quoted in the Washington Post, New York Times, Politico, Bloomberg, CNN, Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, and numerous state outlets. She has served on multiple fiscal policy and child well-being advisory councils among policy networks and governmental bodies and regularly shares information and recommendations on how to build greater equity and opportunity for families and communities.
